Coronavirus Advice and Information

 You can help to slow the spread of Coronavirus

Make sure you and your children follow these general principles to prevent spreading any respiratory virus:

  • Wash your hands often – with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based sanitiser if soap and water aren’t available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • If you feel unwell,  isolate and get a test Children must not attend school whilst awaiting the results of a test
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home.

 If you’re worried about your symptoms, please call NHS 119 – don’t go directly to your GP or other healthcare environments.

Reporting a Positive Covid-19 Test Result

In the event that your child has tested positive for COVID-19, or has symptoms, please could you notify the school by completing by completing our Covid-19 notification form ... click here to access, thank you.

Children must not attend school whilst awaiting the results of a test

Coronavirus School Closure Procedure

Classes/Year Groups/Whole school will only be closed if one or more of the following conditions apply:

  • on instruction from the Public Health England, or the Department for Education.

Steps taken to decide on whether to close the school will be as follows:

  • The Headteacher will liaise with the Local Authority, Warden Hill Infant School and Chair of Governors and a joint decision will be made whether the school should be open.

Should the school need to close for any reason we will follow our normal school closure procedures.  This will be communicated to staff and  parents via Parentmail & the school website as soon as the decision is made.  

Home Learning

In the event of school closure, our system for Remote Learning will commence for your children's continued education.  

Children have logins to our online resources such as Purple Mash, spellings, and the Learning Platform.  If they wish to explore these  at their leisure they can. Please check you have this information. Contact us on enquires@wardenhill.juniorluton.co.uk if you need a reminder.
