Warden Hill Junior School

Summer Term 1 2017/18

Each half term the class teachers and other members of school staff are asked to chose a pupil from their class/group who has stood out from the others in a positive way.  This may be through good effort, outstanding behaviour, great manners, kindness to others etc.  Once selected, the children's names are called out during celebration assembly, a letter is sent home to share the good news and a certificate is put into the Golden Book for everyone to see.

Year 3

He has grown in confidence since September.  His times table knowledge is great and he has made it a personal challenge to improve his concentration.

For always listening to and  following all instructions, which is reflected in all of work. He shows great determination and gives everything his all.

For his zeal for learning, his active participation in and contributions to all discussions and consistently demonstrating a readiness for learning.

For working consistently hard all year.  She shows enthusiasm in all that she does.  She always completes her homework on time and has put a huge amount of effort into her reading record.  A pleasure to tech and a great role model.

Year 4

For making super progress in reading and showing great perseverance and effort!

For always demonstrating a positive attitude to learning and always trying her best.  Dua is arole model to the rest of the class.

For always doing his best in swimming lessons this year.  He is a pleasure to teach and constantly tries hard, even when he finds it difficult.

For being exceptionally well behaved.  She is always focused and consistently gives 100% to everything she does.

Year 5

For setting a wonderful example for all children to follow.  She is always on task and tries her best in everything she does.  She is extremely polite and has made excellent progress through her careful listening and fantastic work ethic.

For consistently working hard in every given task.  You have been on absolute pleasure to teach.  Well done!

For being a brilliant member of class.  We are impressed by his conscientious attitude towards his work and how actively he involves himself in class discussions.  He is always kind and thoughtful to everyone too!

For working exceptionally hard despite finding some areas difficult.  Always offering support to staff and peers.  Showing a huge improvement and maturity towarrds peers.

Year 6

For her super attitude to her learning and for her efforts with her writing.  For getting on with the minimum of fuss, listening and welcoming advice on how to improve, also for her lovely sense of humour.

For working really hard in the lead up to her SATs.  She has made some excellent progress, particularly in maths.  Due to hr helpful nature about the classroom - she makes my job a little easier. 


For always persevering across all subjects, showing a positive attitude to learning and using her initiative to help staff members.

For hand work, effort and perseverance in all subjects throughout the year.  |He has excellent behaviour and is an absolute pleasure to teach.
