Promoting Kindness
To promote kindness in our school, School Councillors implemented a playground strategy where children were praised for showing kindness to each other.
During Anti-bullying Week, School Councillors helped staff to monitor break times, where they identified acts of kindness. Names of the children being kind were noted and a kindness leaf was shared. The leaves were gathered to create a ‘Kindness Tree’ on each classroom door.
Children said that this helped to remind them how to show kindness and respect one another.
