Kodu
During our computing time in school our children use a program called Kodu. It is a great free piece of software available to download for free from the Microsoft Website. Children learn how to create an online world and program Kodus and objects in their world. Games can be as basic or creative as they wish and there are lessons to follow to help learn all of the skills needed. Once worlds are completed the games can even be played using an xBox and xBox controller!
If you would like to download Kodu for use at home please ask your grown up to help you. Never install a program without asking them first or you may get in trouble. Once you have permission click on the link below to download the program.
You will need to follow the instructions on screen to install Kodu. Your computer may need to install a framework first but the install box will let you know this. Once Framework has been installed you need to click on refresh on the install box to access the Kodu install. Good luck and do this with a grown up.
