The Big Pedal

The Big Pedal 2014

We have been joining in with The Big Pedal 2016.  This year’s challenge runs from 18th - 29th April. Each day schools have competed to see who has recorded the greatest number of pupils, staff and parents cycling or scooting to school. A school’s best five days will determine their final position, but they can log journeys on all ten days if they wish.

We need your help!  We have competed in this event for a number of years now and have done very well in the past.  We want to do well this year too and earn a fantastic prize by getting as many journeys to school as possible.  Parents journeys count too.  So if you are in a position to help the pupils step up to the challenge and ride or scoot to school with them, we will gain more journeys.

Thank you for your support.  More information and daily updates of journeys so far can be found on The Big Pedal website.

Queen's Breakfast Celebration

On Thursday 21st April we hosted our Big Pedal Breakfast and also celebrated our Queen's 90th Birthday too.  Fun was had by all.  After a great breakfast including sausages, croissants and toast children rode around for the morning on scooters or bikes.  Take a look at some of the pictures from the event by clicking here.

Superhero Day

On Friday 29th April 2016, we will be holding a our Superhero fundraising Day.  All children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite Superhero in exchange for a £1 donation, they do not have to have been scooting or biking to school to take part in this event.  Children that are travelling to school on two wheels at the moment are welcome to dress up their bikes too if they wish.  Mr Hayden will be giving prizes for the best dressed  Superhero, bike or scooter.
Who will you be for the day?  Stuck for an idea, print out and colour in this Superhero mask to wear for the event.
